Veolia in Taiwan Finance, Procurement & DB&T Teams Complete Joint Team Building

To continuously enhance colleagues’ understanding and awareness of operational processes and workplace safety management, we organized a Team Building event in November. Through on-site visits, professional safety briefings, and a relaxing DIY candle workshop, participants were able to connect through hands-on experiences, learn through collaboration, and bring the event to a successful close.

The event kicked off with a visit to the Bali WTE Plant, guided personally by the plant manager. With detailed explanations, colleagues gained a more comprehensive understanding of the site’s background, operational development, daily waste treatment capacity, and overall performance. During the visit, they also learned more about the entire process from waste reception, sorting, and incineration to power generation, enabling the finance team to more concretely appreciate the technical capabilities and systematic management that support our business operations.

Colleagues at the plant also highlighted key practical aspects of LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) procedures and once again emphasized Veolia’s 12 Golden Rules for safety, reminding everyone that safety is not an add-on, but the starting point and core value of all work.

Following the technical and safety tour, a relaxing DIY candle-making class was arranged in the afternoon. In a pleasant and informal atmosphere, colleagues unleashed their creativity and crafted their own pieces, while also enjoying more time to interact, share work experiences and everyday stories, strengthening bonds, mutual trust, and team spirit in the process.

This Team Building not only helped the teams get closer to front-line operations and the practical aspects of safety management, but also fostered interaction and connection with operational units through enjoyable group activities. Looking ahead, we will continue to promote diverse forms of engagement to reinforce cross-functional collaboration, while putting into practice Veolia’s “Safety First” core value, moving toward building a safer, more reliable workplace where colleagues can devote themselves with peace of mind.
