Following Veolia's inaugural "Purpose Tour" in Taiwan last year, this year's event was expanded for the first time in collaboration with Veolia Water, attracting a more diverse group of cross-industry partners to join the cause!
On June 12, despite torrential rain in Tainan, we headed deep into Yongkang to witness Taiwan’s two green cores of "Waste-to-Energy" ⚡ and "Water Circularity." 💧
✨ Key highlights of the tour:
- 📍 Stop 1: Tainan Yongkang Incineration Plant
We witnessed how a modernized incineration plant transforms waste into green energy. The Yongkang plant demonstrates high-efficiency operational management and strict environmental standards, successfully upgrading traditional waste treatment into a high-value circular economy model to contribute to urban carbon reduction .
- 📍 Stop 2: Yongkang Water Resources Recycling Center
Watching the heavy rain, it became even clearer that water reclamation is a vital backbone for industrial growth. At the plant, we gained deep insights into how WaterTech’s top-tier facilities refine domestic wastewater into industrial-grade, high-purity reclaimed water—perfectly balancing industrial demand with ecological phosphorus reduction.
This rain-or-shine journey reminded us that cross-sector integration of sustainable solutions is the key engine driving Net-Zero goals. A huge thank you to all the partners who braved the storm with us! We look forward to continuing to amplify our impact and letting sustainability take deep root!
